Southcliff Youth Beach Camp 2005
Galvaston, Texas June 6-10, 2005
Contact: Stu Cocanougher 817-924-2241

We were asked to be a part of Southcliff's second annual Youth Beach Camp: Burried Treasure. In the evenings, we performed a four act play (an act/night) entitled
The Gift Within. The Gift Within is about 5 campers at Beach Camp who are each searching for their gift within. In the mornings we performed modernized parables: The Runaway (The Prodigal Son), the Graduation Party (The Great Banquet), What Cost? (The Cost of Discipleship), and Take a Risk (The Parable of the Talents). In the afternoons, each member of D+R+A+M+A had specific assignments. Some were assigned to be family group and Bible study leaders. Others were part of security and safety procedures for beach swim time. The second day of camp we began to add Southcliff youth as part of the productions in small, one line walk on roles. We enjoyed being a part of this camp, along with The Beach Camp Band, Christin Cook Band, and Robbie Robison (speaker).
Big Country Baptist Assembly Youth Camp 2005
Leuders, Texas July 18-22, 2005
Contact: Justin Gandy 254-559-2295

The theme for BCBA's youth camp was Theos, which is greek for God. Each day we lead theatre workshops, emphasizing basic technique and skills students could take home to continue to worship Christ through theatre. Our workshops included audition training, script writing, stage makeup, and stage combat. In the evenings, we again performed the four act play (an act/night)
The Gift Within. In the mornings we performed funny, wake up the crowd type skits including Chair of NIS, Can't Stop Talking, and God so Loved the World (song). On Friday morning, the students performed the monologues they had written for Take a Risk. We were the Afterglow entertainment for Tuesday evening, performing an hour long, Vaudville type show which included: Savin' the World (Clay Cross), Boring Sermon, Two Knights, Up to Me (Ross King), The Gift, and NaNaNa (Mark Lowry). We greatly enjoyed being a part of this camp along with Nobody Famous (worship band), GRITS (special guest), and Thomas Young (speaker).

We were invited to be the Night Life entertainment for Camp Copass's Youth Camp on Tuesday evening July 12. We had a great time performing an hour and fiftenn minutes worth of Vaudville entertainment and worship. Our lineup included:
Chair of NIS, NaNaNa song, Can't Stop Talking, Take a Risk, Up to Me, The Runaway, Only Hope, The Gift, and Two Knights. We were also able to lead an invitation and commitment to True Love Waits prayer time, which was very moving for us as a team. We enjoyed being a part of this camp, even if only for one night.
